Well hey !
we have had the most wild spring out here in the wasatch mountains. Tons of snow and cold weather.... well this weekend happened to FINALLY feel like spring. I mean, it was absolutely sunny and perfect yesterday! 60 degrees... lots of zinc on the face. My favorite time of year is the time when I can ski in shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. oh yeah baby we made it.

Decided to head up alta ski area who so graciously allows uphill travel- and ski my annual main chute spring classic! The snow was good, starting to get corny out there. And if you know me then you know how much I LOVE the corn harvest season .

this is one of my favorite tours because it’s such an easy jaunt for some of the best views in the satch. Sometimes I just can’t believe I live here! Brought with me two of my favorite humans- John and Devin for some good laughs, some tomohawks and as always- some summit beers (:

We made our way to the shoulder and then set a booter up the ridge. Piece of cake! Can’t get over that blue sky. Here’s my big booty in that bootiful booter.

Once we made it to the top of the booter... we were there!! Snow was looking great, time for a beer. Oh yeah, and why not dump them out? YES PLEASE!!!! how about some tots on a ridge line.... maybe I’m going for no tan lines this summer? Devin got creative and made a chair out of his skis.... I definitely haven’t seen that one before!

(due to the chute being quite busy with people- I decided not to ski this one topless, but that Doesn’t mean we can’t dump em out on the summit anyways )
DUMP. EM. OUT.

Devin can dump them too ! (I taught him everything he knows)

Now that I have a delicious buzz... not only from the beer, but the great views, 60 degrees and sunn, and good friends.... time to ski! Let’s SEND THIS SHIT! Mmmm main chute looking like a snack right now!
We always follow proper backcountry safety... because when resorts close they are considered backcountry terrain too! We also discussed the forecast and what we thought any sort of danger might be today. Dropping one at a time... I went first (:

And now Devin and John’s turn! I was soooo excited to be skiing again (:

Somehow Devin is always able to give himself face shots... no matter the conditions !

we did it! Another adventure, another perfect day out there. Days like this remind me of how good it is to be alive. Cheers to a beautiful life!
